Handmade Buttons (Dorset ) - Set of 6 - Custom You Choose the Color

This is a set of 6 buttons handmade for you.

You choose the colour.

They are handmade using the traditional Dorset Button craft. Dorset buttons were a way of making buttons before the Industrial Revolution.

They are made using a ring (in this case plastic) and wrapping and weaving thread round and through the ring. I use embroidery thread (floss).

I love making these and trying out different colour combinations.

These buttons are made using a 100% cotton. I use DMC thread and am able to get many different colours. Please contact me with the colour you wish. For instance all red, all dark blue, or 3 green and 3 pink. I can also do each buttons using two colours as in this example http://www.etsy.com/listing/59265177/handmade-dorset-cross-wheel-buttons

They are approximately 1.5 cms (half an inch)in size.

These buttons can be used simply as buttons on a garment or sewn or stuck as embelishments.

I would recommend hand-washing if used on garments, however in a trial I have washed at 40 degrees and then tumble-dried a similar button 3 times with no effect.
